Meet Mrs. Arrieta

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Throughout my education I attended schools in the Pendergast and Tolleson Union High School districts. After graduating high school in 1998, I started my college career at Arizona State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2002. This is my sixth year teaching and third year in Deer Valley Unified School district. My first three years I taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts in Glendale Elelmentary School District.

Teaching is my passion. I truly enjoy meeting new students and getting to know them better. I find teaching an extremely rewarding career, I thrive on challenging my students to do their best in all aspects of life. My goal as a Language Arts teacher is to prove to my students that reading and writing can be fun!

I married the love of my life in 2003, we currently have a cat named Hombre, a cocker spaniel named Lola and a desert tortoise named Tortuga. In my free time I enjoy photography, shopping, cooking, going to the movies and spending time with friends and family.
